Hey there,
We can't really help unless you fill us in on the specifics of what emulator you are using and what plugins you're running. Chances are, if you're using ePSXe, you're going to want to try P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver with the default "Nice" setting.
If that doesn't work, let us know what you're setup is.
