Wish I could get for X-Mas but can't:

Sorry Zetsu, but growing up with Unreal, I think Gears of War is overrated.

When I saw the trailer for UT3, it said "From the studio that brought you Gears of War". WTF? That's totally disrespecting the game that originally brought Epic into the spotlight! Just because GOW was an overnight sensation doesn't mean it can overthrow UT as Epic's baby!

I can also agree Gears of War's overrated. It was one of the first really good games for the 360 so it was extremely overplayed. But nontheless, I love both Unreal Tournament (I've played all of them) along with Gears of War. Gears is more tactical where Unreal is more like a run and shoot. To a point it becomes a choice of personal preference.
They advertised it was by the people who did Gears due to the fact it was extraordinarily popular, help bring some of the people that played gears into Unreal and it's also relevant due to the same engine being used. (Unreal Tournament's also on my list if you didn't notice).

Good point.

Well I know I'm getting UT3 for Christmas, because I asked my aunt for it, and she always gets me what I want.

My mom's going to see if she can get me Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, and my cousin will get it for me if she doesn't. But if she does, he'll get me Super Mario Galaxy instead. (Played Galaxy at GameStop today. REALLY good game.)

I also asked my dad for Windows Vista so I can play Halo 2 on my PC (The RIGHT way, because with that made-for-XP ripped version, I can't play online and I really want to...) I asked for Home Basic though, because it's the cheapest one. Only $100 now.

that is very true. and also funny. Both are great games it just depends if you like fast paced shooters or tactical no point gruesome splattering shooters. If gears had ctf like unreal i would prefer gears but that little game developer douche did not want to add it so im sticking with unreal on this one.

by the way i would like a new guitar for shredding

Recently discovering how dismal my chances of affording a graphics card (due to my breaking power supply and old motherboard) I changed my list to a more reasonable one and added all the games I wish I could have to a "Wishful Thinking" section. Come on people, post more we're interested.

I do not really know how to add those pictures, so I will just list...

Uncharted (PS3)
Ratchet and Clank (PS3)
Folklore (PS3)
Mass Effect (Xbox360)
XboxLive points (Downloadable Xbox games! ^-^)
Nights: Journey of Dreams (If its good-Wii)
The Witcher (PC)
Crysis (PC)
Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3, or maybe PC if it will stop messing up on me)

And that should be it...

I like to have a large list, so there is at least a bit of surprise on Christmas.

Well I got Windows Vista as an early Xmas present, so now I'll be able to stay up to date with all the good PC games I like. Also, my brother's giving me his good computer, so I'll have a computer that I can play LAN with my friends on. Neat!

I'll be getting Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for sure now, so now I'm hoping for Super Mario Galaxy next. And I got Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (The Limited Collector's Edition), but I won't be getting UT3 until New Year's Eve.

UT3 "flopping" has me holding back on asking for it.

Oh well, so many other games to get, plus I finally tried CoD4 online, and I'm addicted .

From what I have heard, it is basically UT2k4 with a facelift.

Now we all expected that going in, but apparently also the online community is still struggling even though it has been out for 2+ weeks.

On average the game only has around 1000 players online, with only 3-4 good servers, and the rest being "bleh".

I am hoping that since the PS3 UT3 plays with PC players, and the complete lack of decent PS3 games, that helps kickstart the community.
