Quadcore???

i just saw a tv comercial of a quadcore pc, but it thought they were to hard to handle for a pc, can any1 plz give an explanation of this? kinda cool though would love to have that pc, must be sweet to play with,,,

At least for 3 months But I have a Core 2 Duo and love it... much faster than the conventional CPUs. I would assume that you would only have benefit from the Quad Core if you were doing multimedia stuff. Even with Core 2 Duo you don't get full benefit of 2 cpus in one. Got some games that don't even support it

It is much faster than normal Pc's. It is double the speed of Core 2 duo. I agree with the above person. One should buy this if he's doing multimedia stuff. That is Quad Core for you.

i've a quadcore, but like Lucullus said, I do 3D models for games and whatnot. I also play games, which is awesome on a Quad.

yea, quad core is for video and 3-d modelin'. i do music on my pc and can't find a good reason to get a quad core (i've been tryin' to find a reason to get a quad but i could get by if i upgrade to a dual core conroe instead).
