Performance increase?

I'm thinking about picking up a 2GB PC2-6700 (800Mhz) Ram kit (2x 1GB).. I currently have 4x 512Mb PC2-4200 installed and it's quick, but I need a little boost..

My current setup;

MSI K9NBPM2-FID Mobo
AMD x2 3800+
2GB PC2-4200
Dual Seagate Barracuda 7200.10's (16MB cache versions)
Hipro PSU (450w I believe)
Vista Ultimate x86

I've had my cpu @ 2.8Ghz in the past with little gain.. so I'm either very picky, or my Ram appears to be the bottleneck.

As for speed increase, I'm looking for a general increase in speed (application loading times, paging, etc).. my system isn't slow as it is, but, as with most of you, I needed a reason to upgrade, so I made this one up

Thoughts?

PS: I'm also considering going RAID, since I have two identical drives and a board that supports it.. which RAID would I run for better disc performance?
