What program is best for translating Jap to English GBA Roms
Does anyone know if there is a site that shows you how to translate Roms, and what is the best program to use to do it?
I'm a newbie just learning to work with Roms, so any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards ZG

You need a Hex Editor, and the know-how to work one. Hex editors can be found almost anywhere.

the Best Device to use is a Hex Editor, or a Program Designed to edit a certain game.
Plus, You need to learn how or you wont be able to do shit. http://www.zophar.org go there, you should find absolutely everything you need.

Thanks for that, I'll go have a look at the site.
What I'm hoping to do is Translate Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby to some form of English as most of the Roms I've found are not translated very well, plus I've seen a pre-realease of the US version so I know what all of the beginning text says. Regards ZG

Good luck it's good to see people helping out on the translation scene. If you're interested in being a part of it you might be interested in checking out the whirlpool http://donut.parodius.com/
Btw, the only thing that sucks though is by the time you're getting close to translating it, the full us release will be available online, but games like chocobo dice (i believe that's the name) and other like Tactics Ogre for the SNES that have never been released and never will be realeased to the US is where people really help the scene, you might wanna look into those games.

Plus, Like uno said, why not start on some games that will never be Commercially english? Why waste your Time Tranlating a game that'll be out in american in a month

There are tons of great games that are in only japanese that would be sweet to play in english! Like games we never even heard of!

A bit more Advice...
While translating roms, stay true to what the game actually says... Dont add anything, dont take anything out, and dont change shit.

i want to know if there well be a pokemon tcg 2 full english rom i mean i can read it i wantthe hole thing translated i get this 20% lol rTEGXBFBfd fVvreg i can't under stand what there saying but the music is the kool : ) this is a task to the best translators out there email me the rom translated in english all the way please i want to knwo what they are saying ? plus the cards names and words are jibberish to
