Does anyone know why after i select my vibration settings i just get a black screen and nothing happens, i even let it sit for over 10 minutes just to see what it was gonna do. Im using ePSXe, does it not work on that emulator ?

I downloaded this game, burned it to a CD (I was so excited that I forgot to look into content of that img...). When I tried to run it on my old PSX....hm, then I realized that this stuff is intended for some kind of emulator...Can someone please tell me where could I find a Rip of theese two discs?

Please, I am desperate...

I got both parts of Disc 1, but when I extract them, they stop midway with this error message:

CRC failed in 'Chrono Cross Disc 1.img'. File is broken.

This has appeared with each ISO of Chrono Cross I've tried to download. I have the .rar part but it won't extract without stopping midway. I try to open it with ePSXe anyway, but it never starts.

The other forum members may correct me on this, but it is my understanding that you can not play any burned cd on a psx without modifying the psx first. The game plays pretty good on a good computer. I have the game on psx disk at work (bought in a yard sale today for $2) and another at home to play.

Seeing all the problems that others are having, I am going to download what is offered here and see if there really is problems with the downloads or just that the problems that are experienced here are just bad downloads that corrupted the files. I have ran into that alot and had to redownload all or part again.

I downloaded the first two files for the first disc. I had no problem extracting from these. Looks like if you are having problems extracting from the file, your file downloaded corrupt and you need to down load again.

I tried to down load the second disc files, but I was given an exceed download limit and was informed that I have to wait 5.5 hours before I can download again. I will try again first thing in the morning for the second file.

Downloaded both files for the second disc. Extracted the file with no problems.

Played Chrono Cross with ePSXe 1.6 pretty good, after going into configuration on the video plugin, adjusting FPS Limit to 62, selecting special game fixes under misc then selecting odd/even bit hack, and then to get the element attacks to work properly, I had to add the command line -noauto to the properties of the ePSXe shortcut in the target box.
All went well.

Great game...but a perfect 10 score from Gamespot? No...it's nowhere near a perfect 10 score. Chrono Trigger was superior to this game in all aspects.

the password which is provided on the first page (it won't let me type it because i haven't made 15 posts) worked for me for disc 2, but not disc 1.



to do the -noauto fix you make a shortcut of epsxe.exe then right click on the shortcut and go to properties. in the properties window you'll see the target box. just put -noauto after the location. also, if the location has spaces in it you have to use quotation marks.

eg.

"c:/my emulators/playstation/epsxe.exe" -noauto

but if there is no space in the location then don't worry.

eg.

c:/emulators/playstation/epsxe.exe -noauto

I still get a black status sceen. Where's framebuffer textures?

It's 4 days downloading the files, now its done.. it is good, but there's something problem upon using elements during the battle... its scratch.... it takes a long time to load.... can you fix it... thanks..
