Can someone please explain from the beginning what to do after you DL all 3 discs? I haven't used emulators before so I have no idea what a .iso / .img file is or what to do with it to be able to play the game. I searched through this thread but nothing explains what to do straight forward. I DL 7zip and unzipped the 3 cds into 3 different folders labelled disc1 disc2 and disc3. I DL daemon tools and when I open it I get this icon in my task bar and I click it to "mount" the only file I could click in disc1. Then a DVD F: drive shows up but when I open it it shows an empty folder.
What do I do to be able to play it and what program do I need? I tried to use epsxe or ssspsx but it says I can't configure it. When it comes to configuring the video or sound, there's a drop down menu to pick from something but nothings there. What can I do? I'm completely clueless and dont know what the hell mounting does? Please help, I'm not familiar with emulators

I'm not a PC guy, but "mounting" is in more words or less, tricking the computer into thinking that a computer file is actually a CD. so when you "mount" an .iso file, it's like you're inserting a disc without having to do so. Do you have 3 files with either a .iso or .img tag on them after you unzipped them?
so running from a .iso is like running from CD but it's in your computer. I don't know how to help with your PC emulator trouble though. Last edited by bjammerz : 02-07-2008 at 05:44 PM.

Could someone upload or send me disks 2 and 3 in .ISO format? I can't use daemon tools... Please help me, this game is amazing, playing it is my childhood dream

since its separate files how do u bring the data from disk 1 over to disk 2 and so on and so forth

oh wow thank you so very much! when i moved i sold my ps2 and my copy of ff7 and ff8 to a friend, and i have been jonesin for them again. you rock! i've had no problems with these files whatsoever.

I have one problem. When I am in Aeris house and tryin to sneak out It wont let me down the stairs. I have tried over and over again. I know you have to walk I dont know if its cuz I am using a keyboard and not a controller. Has anyone else had this problem?

okay okay okay
i really really REALLY want to play this game but uhh.. yeaa im having problems.. alright lets see i downloaded both parts to the disk and umm.. why are they both the same? i mean seriously i extract them and it asks if i want to replace them or w/e but yeah and i tried to play all of those files with the ePSXe emulator and yeah big help that was it doesnt even do anything! so yeah please HELP ME!! help me out im downloading both parts of disk 1 again and yeah i reinstalled ePSXe again and uhh.. yeah.. im still downloading both parts.. iono wtf to do as you can all tell by my n00b name.. so whose got the brains to tell me EVERYTHING step by step clearly PLEASE i REALLY REALLY REALLY want to play this game  Last edited by New2AllofThis : 03-27-2008 at 04:34 PM.
