:| You don't click anything...

You highlight the link in the little box that says Code, right click, click copy, then paste that link into the navigation toolbar on your browser to take you to the site. Then you click the button to download.

Read a guide before continuing to download please, as to avoid these questions that have been already been answered hundreds of times before...

FINAL FANTASY ORIGINS
(NTSC-U) (109MB)

Quote:
Description:
Final Fantasy Origins is a re-release of Final Fantasy & Final Fantasy II. Both games have added CGI cut scenes, updated graphics, and added content. It also includes art galleries of Yoshitaka Amano's illustrations. Final Fantasy II was never released in the USA.

Final Fantasy is an rpg / adventure came where you choose four characters (from six different character classes). It features turn based combat, kill monsters for gold / experience to advance levels and equipment.

Final Fantasy II is also similar but has several different aspects. There is no experience system is not based off of killing monsters. The more you use a weapon / armor the more proficient you get at it. It also features a keyword system. During a conversion some words can be memorized then you can ask npc's keywords to further the plot / get more information, etc.

Not as good as the more recent ones (goes without saying) but still one of the best

I have a question about this game. Is the music supposed to be slow compared to the Dawn of Souls version? Or might this be the emulator?

*uses psxeven*

Hey there,

I'm sorry to say that I don't know this for sure as I've never played either of these versions; however, I have a feeling the music should be the same speed. I say this because, in theory, Dawn of Souls is just a port of the two games on this disc with slightly less quality because of the limitations of the Game Boy Advance hardware compared to that of the PlayStation.

I would suggest, if you're using ePSXe, to use P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver and choose the "Nice" default setting. This should play at normal speed for you.

Peace,

manaman

EDIT: I just noticed you said which emulator your use. I don't have any experience with your emulator. I would suggest that you look into ePSXe, however, as this site mostly deals with it and, as of the most recent release, it has the highest compatibility of any of the PlayStation emulators. That and apparently Xeven will no longer be updating PSXeven.

Runs at normal speed on PSX.

I think I'll stick to that one; don't need to configure all those plugins. Just download the BIOS and play.

Also, Dawn of Souls is much easier than Origins I believe.
