Hey there,
I would just make a .bat file. A really excellent tutorial on how to do this would be by this guy here on YouTube. I'm going to take it that your emulator is located here: "C:\epsxe160\ePSXe.exe" and give you this little .bat file. This will launch your emulator with everything working. If this is not the location of ePSXe, then simply right click the .bat file and choose to edit it in Notepad. You will see where the current path and file name are. Make changes as needed. VoilÃÂ*! I also believe this is a graphical interface for command line switches, but I've never used this before. It just came up one time. You might want to check it out, but I won't be able to help you with it. I hope this works for you! Good luck! manaman |

Well kinner666,
I haven't personally emulated this game, so I don't have anything concrete to say. I would recommend trying P.E.Op.S Soft Driver on the "Nice" default setting and see if the game runs smoother. You can use that as a base from which to experiment. Let me know if it runs better under that setting. If you want help customizing from there, let us know. Peace, manaman |

Hey geminisama,
First thing I would suggest is updating your emulator. ePSXe's current stable release is v1.60 with a new release announced for sometime soon. You may also try pSX. Compatibility will go up and may solve your problem as easy as that. Download either emulator from their official sites: ePSXe and pSX. Good luck, manaman Last edited by manaman : 05-11-2008 at 08:43 AM. Reason: Accidentally sent the post twice! |

I've tried the most recent ePSXe, but with it, I have to edit a shortcut, enable a fix, and I still get the crash in the status menu. If I use pSX, it won't get past the vibration confirmation, and won't load the emulator if I put -noauto. The 1.52 ePSXe is the only one I've got INTO the game, but it still crashes in the status menu. :/

Hey,
I guess I should ask--are you using a gamepad? Keyboard? I'm going to have to admit that--though Chrono Trigger rules, I've never played Cross. Is the vibration confirmation asking if you have a vibrating controller? Is that what's hanging you up? I'm really not sure what you're talking about exactly. When the game crashes, could you describe what happens a bit more? Is it just a basic freeze? Does ePSXe close with an error message? Do you have to CTRL+ALT+DEL? Sorry to be a nuisance, manaman |

I'm using a PS2 USB gamepad, but I've tried with the keyboard. I also get this crash if I say no to the analog part. The crash goes like this. 1) Playing game, press triangle. 2) Go to status, pick a character. 3) The games sound freezes, and continues to repeat the last noise in the game, and stays black. I let it sit like this for about 10 min as I did something irl, and no change. I DID happen to get it to show the actual menu ONCE, before freezing. I ruled out the possibility of it being the ROM, cause I tried running the actual game disc.

Hey there,
Sorry for the delay. Did you check this out from here: Quote:
Again, I haven't picked up this game, so I can't really comment on it. Sorry. My best guess if these tactics don't work is that you have a faulty image. Let us know if this worked, manaman |
