Help Needed

Okay, so here's the situation:

I have downloaded PCSX (PSone emulator for Macs).

I have downloaded the WinRAR client for my Mac.

I have downloaded parts one and two of the first disc of Final Fantasy IX from the links listed on this sites Playstation Master List.

Now, I have never used emulators before and I'm not sure what I am supposed to do. I have been told to use the WinRAR thing to extract the Final Fantasy files but I'm not exactly sure how to do this.

If anyone could give me some tips I would be most grateful.

EDIT: I also have found that when I try to extract, an image file appears on my desktop and then goes away immediately.

First things, get 7-Zip from that link.

Then, extract Disc 1 part 1-2 at the same time.

Same with Disc 2, extract both of them at that same time.

Your also extracting them to your desktop, extract them to your Roms folder, it would make everything easyer.

Hope i could help .

Yogurtman,

Since most people on this forum use Windows, perhaps it would be helpful to search for a tutorial to use the emulator you mentioned. You may also check out the ePSXe tutorial on this site as it could give you some basic ideas.

Good luck,

manaman
