Playing Final Fantasy VII on ePSXe

Hello I'm new to using emulators and i have ePSXe on my PC which does work I was just wondering if there are any plugins to fix some problem I am having. 1) i dont mind that the graphics are kind of pixelated but it would be nice if I could smooth them out without causing slowdown or lag. 2) the sounds is really messed up, i NEED to fix this im using the plugin that comes with ePSXe 1.6.0 and 3) are there any freeware programs that can make up for my old video card its about 4 or 5 years old so.... any help would be appreciated!!

Unfortunately with PSX emulation your computer specs do matter and it could be possible that you simply do not have the machine to run the emulator at your desired levels.

Try running the Emulator with the Sound Configured to the Fastest Levels.

Check them out for plugins. You try enough of them and you might find one that suits your needs.

The Sound plugin may not be faulty, is the problem.

NGEmu - Download

Try there, more variety.

I've solved the problem!!! for any future reference im using Eternal SPU 1.41 and DX6 D3D DRIVER 1.76 And also for the record im using ePSXe 1.6.0 this fixed all problems i had with a minor exception, when i change screens the game lags a bit and gets this purple hazy looking thing other than that id say this emulation runs better than on an actual playstation
