They're getting sued for making Rumble Pads?
I think that it's an excuse for easy money by Immersion. What happened to the Rumble Pak for the N64? That came out before or after the rumbling controllers for PSX? Note they say SMALL tech company. Don't you think that maybe Sony INADVERTENTLY stumbled over the limit? I mean, back when the rumbling controller came out, Immersion must have been puny. But the fact remains that Sony didn't look at patents for the vibrating controller technology. And for now, the spotlight is on Sony and not Microsoft, so hopefully they won't be targeted next. Of all people...Sony didn't do its research...HAHAHAHAHAHA! Forgive me...I have a bone with Sony... Last edited by Rom Manic : 03-28-2005 at 07:21 PM. |

Oh yeah? 90 Mil, huh?
I read that its possible that Microsoft is going to be fined 5 million USD PER DAY. So fuck that shit, 90 mil is nothing.

Frikkin Microsoft owns 5% of it's main competitor, Apple Computers. The bastards even get money from their enemy! I hate Bill GAtes so much that I wish someone would turn him into a newt! Or while he is sleeping, a rat crawls up his ass and eats his intenstinse, and he dies of slow and horrible pain.

Guys if you will look at the story its not just the 90 milion.. if this lawsuit doesn't get apealed sony will NO LONGER BE ABLE TO PRODUCE PLASTATIONS. I think thats frekin noteworthy.
Aparently, the coppyright is specificly for "Duel shock" so nintendo is safe. Microsoft bought out half their stock to keep them from going after the x-box next (which also uses a duel shock system). GC controllers only have a single rumble 'thing' and were disigined differently, so they don't face the lawsuit at all. The rumble pack for the N64 was the first rumble device avialable (the first rumble pack compatable game was Star Fox 64). Last edited by Duo : 04-05-2005 at 06:40 PM. |
