New SNES9X, but not for windows?

All right, seems I felt that we should have some news posted here instead of just our rom updates (not saying they aren't important )
Went on a bit of a news search this morning and felt that I should really find something that is unheard of and guess what... I succeeded. The team behind Snes9x, which is the one of the 2 top emulators for Super Nintendo has now released a new version, but for all of us Windows users we will have to wait and hope that somebody will port this to Windows as there will be no version for windows at all from the Snes9x team.
If you want to check out the versions available then I suggest you head to Snes9X.COM and see for yourself. But I have just uploaded the latest windows version for Snes9x and Zsnes to the server and will have it all added asap.
Will also update all other emulators on the go and provide with news for them as well to let you know what has been done.
The changes in the core of Snes9x has been listed on their website, but here is an extract from the team themselves:
Snes9x v1.5 has been released

Tons and tons of internal core changes were made to make Snes9x way better than before, and work on more platforms than before.
Unforunetly since the Windows port is radically different than every other port of Snes9x, and no one cared to maintain the Windows port, this release will not have a Windows port. However interested parties who have the neccesary skills can make a Windows port of the source. However if you do, please send the changes back.

Linux, Mac and MSDOS. Which means you can still play it but you will lose all the windows auto crap
But in order to have it running on MSDOS I think you need the source files downloaded.
I will stick to the latest windows version or as usual focus on ZSNES only

Shouldn't be too hard to do, but I do hope someone out there will make a windows port as the team behind SNES9X has authorised the use of the source files as long as they get the code for the windows port.

You are right. If Snes9x gets ported to the PSP, which is a pain in the ass, the Windows port will be a piece of cake.
