Rules - Read before you post!
Spam
Spam is considered posting topics on our forums that contain no point, relevance, or contain subject matter that doesn't directly allow other member participation. Topics directed to a particular user, posting several times consecutively as an appendage to ONE post, and posts in threads that have NOTHING to do with the subject matter are all considered spam and will be deleted on sight. Contributing to, or intentionally posting spam will not be tolerated.
Spam is not tolerated anywhere but in the "Shoutbox".
Furthermore, in relation to spam, it is up to the discretion of the Moderators and Administrators to determine if a post is spam or not. Adding to your post or topic, 'This is not spam,' not only doesn't make the post not spam, but is highly frowned upon, In other words, we choose if its spam, you do not. We have the direct right to delete any spam we see. The same applies to replying to a topic and declaring it spam or not. It is not your place. If you feel a topic is spam, inform the Moderator of the forum or any Administrator.
Your rights to Freedom of Speech don't apply here
You are very much so welcomed to have opinions. You are welcome to question certain subject matter posted on these forums, That of course means debate, not Argue.. You are welcome to dislike a certain post or disagree with it. However, that does NOT mean you have the right to freely express them here. Though we typically condone people to express their opinions and ideas, we have the right to delete yours if necessary, should we consider it abusive. This is NOT a violation of your Freedom of Speech rights. You can express your opinions somewhere else.
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
Your account is for YOU only
You may use your account to post your opinions, your thoughts, and your views within the guidelines of the Rules and Regulations. You may NOT use your account to post for people who are not members or have had their posting permissions removed. You also may not grant others access to your account. Doing so will result in immediate termination of your posting privileges. If you are having errors with your account and cannot login, contact one of the mods or admins, do not create another user, we will resolve the problem. If a second account is created, we will delete that account without warning and your post count will be lost.
About your sites and banners
Advertising: Emulator World respects the fact that our members have their own sites. But, we do not allow excessive advertisements for your sites on our boards. You can put a hyperlink in your signature about your site. A large banner in your signature advertising your site over 500x250, and over 60k in filesize is considered excessive.
Non-advertising banners: The banners in you signatures are to be no larger then (500x500), and no larger then 60k in filesize.
This is so that the members that use dial-up connections, are not terribly slowed down by the loading of your banners.
Requests
Emulator World only allows members to make a request, but only in the Requests forum.
Important
We reserve the right to change these rules of the board at any time.
It is YOUR responsibility to read the news regarding policy changes. Ignorance is no excuse.
