(Arcade) - Double Dragon (US Set 1).7z - 567.13 KB

Hi there,

Even those of us who were console aficionados can't escape the nostalgia brought on by some of those old arcade machines. One such machine for me is Double Dragon. A fun blend of beat-'em-up and cheesy-kung-fu, Double Dragon won me over most with the ability to pick up a slew of fun weapons. The opening cinema scene still bothers me though. Where is that man punching her?! Please note that "Double Dragon (US Set 1)" is a clone of "Double Dragon (Japan)" so both files are needed in order for the former to run in current versions of MAME (as of this date).

Information lifted from Wikipedia's "Double Dragon (video game)" article:
Quote:
Double Dragon is a 1987 beat-em-up developed by Technos Japan Corporation and distributed in North America and Europe by Taito. The game is a spiritual and technological successor to Technos' earlier beat-em-up, Renegade (released in Japan as Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun, the first game in the Kunio-kun series), but introduced several additions such as two-player cooperative gameplay (hence the title) and the ability to arm oneself with an enemy's weapon after disarming them. Double Dragon is considered to be one of the first successful examples of the genre, resulting in the creation of two arcade sequels and several spinoffs.
