I use the .bin from this thread but get the same behaviour with the one from emuparadise.org.
I use ePSXe 1.7.0 EVERY TIME I start a new game, I choose a new slot, I write my name, then the game goes on... DIRECTLY to the last part of the game where you kill Dracula (Final Scene: Bloodlines). It doesn't let me begin a new adventure of my own! This is SO frustrating. I've searched forums and google but can't seem to find any mention of this problem and how to solve it.

No way!
I can't believe it!!!! I've been trying so much to understand WHY i was beginning with that!!!! But on the other hand... it's normal to think about a glitch, when you start and it's written "Final Scene: Bloodlines". What fooled me: 1- I didn't play the previous game, 2- I didn't first play on a real console. Many roms or emulator are buggy, hence my error. OK anyway, thank you so much kdb__1981!
