FFVII ROM Pixelation issue

I am currently playing the FFVII Disc 1 Rom. It was going fine for quite awhile until I get to the part when I'm sneaking out of Aeris's house. As soon as I leave her property and go back into the slums it goes pixelated.

I managed to find my way to the exit of this scene and the next scene was back to normal, no glitches or issues. But then when Aeris comes out of no where and starts talking to you the text remains pixelated.

I still skipped over this and continued on, until I reached a battle and the text on the battle menu was still pixelated like before. Is there something wrong with the video configuration or is it a glitch in the ROM?

Sorry I can't post pictures, the site won't let me cause I'm still new. But here are the URLS, just make sure you take out the hyphens at the beginning and end.

Hi there,

When all else fails, you can always use P.E.Op.S SoftDriver 1.17 and choose the default setting of "Nice" on the bottom left. Mind you, that's if you are using a fairly modern PC. If your PC is older, you'll select "Fast" but then you may encounter frame rate problems (very fast animation) and will have to check the "Use FPS limit" box. Try this and see if it gets you through. If not, you may have a bad backup copy.

Good luck,

manaman
