ISO creation guide + 7z extraction guide

ISO Creation Guide

This is a step by step guide to making an ISO from a Playstation disc. Please follow this guide step by step so that you do not miss anything. All right, lets get started.

Step 1: download an image software tool.
  • MagicISO
  • PowerISO

Step 2: Insert your PS1 disc into the CD drive. Open the disc (don't double click, right click than open)Select everything inside the disc, then drag the files into a folder.

Step 3: Open MagicISO, drag the files into the screen, when its done, click save as --> and your PS1 games name, and Voila! Your done

FAQ

Q: The Iso doesn't work in my emulator
A: Make sure you put all files from the disc, into the ISO.

More to be added...

7z extraction guide

A lot of people[lots] have been asking how do they extract files that are split. This is incredibly easy, but for some reason, people have been having problems with it.

Step 1: Make sure all files are in the same location. Usually, I make a folder, than put them into that folder.

Step 2: Double click the part 1 of the file, then it should show the ISO inside. Drag and drop it onto your desktop( or any other location at that )

Simple as that. This tutorial was made rather quickly. I will go over it and add more to it. [time frame very short >.<]

Hope this helped a little xD

i have a few dc games and i was wondering if i could use magiciso or poweriso to make the iso. I am asking because up there you say "This is a step by step guide to making an ISO from a Playstation disc", so i don't know if it can be used for dc too.

With files like that, double clicking won't work. You have to right click the file and click extract for whatever program you're using. If the program doesn't recognize the files, you might have to rename them. Usually works.

I got it to work now, by downloading the 7-zip program. I tried Suikoden II, it freezes on me before I get to the start game screen XD
